Widely know for their on-location work, Kindle the Heart® on-location session fees begin at $350. This session retainer includes 1-2 hours of photography, and a $200 print credit. Studio sessions are also available and begin at $50.
Michelle is almost always booked 4-6 weeks in advance, so please call early for your choice of date and time. Session fees must be paid at the time of reservation. Failure to do so will result in your appointment being offered to other clients.

Wall portraits begin at $150 a’ la carte. Gift portraits begin at $50 a’ la carte.
Kindle the Heart serves the Middle-Tennessee area including Murfreesboro, Woodbury, McMinnville, Smithville, Manchester, Lebanon, and surrounding areas. Sessions more than 50 miles from Woodbury will be charged an additional $2 per mile.

Maternity and newborns, ‘tweens and teens, high school seniors, couples and relationship portraits-Michelle values each stage in the life and strives to showcase what makes that moment in time unique to her subject.

When should I schedule?
As soon as possible! Michelle’s schedule is almost always filled 4-6 weeks in advance. During holiday times (October-December especially), Michelle is booked months in advance. Please call early to reserve your session. If you wish to give portraits as Christmas gifts, your session must be complete by November 1.
What should I wear?
We suggest solid colors. Avoid busy patterns, such as plaids and stripes, or logos / words. Jeans, overalls, sun /slip dresses, and khakis are classics and photograph well. We especially like boys in jeans and plain tees and girls in simple dresses. If individuals are being photographed together, choose clothes that are similar in style to give a more coordinated look. Bare feet are especially fun, and help portraits maintain their classic appearance as time passes. Please do NOT dress in white. This color reflects light strongly and requires precise lighting conditions to photograph well.
When can I see my images?
Your image previews will be ready in approximately three weeks. You will be invited to Michelle’s office to view your images on the 52″ LCD. It is quite an experience to see one’s images that large! We understand that sometimes all family members cannot attend the ordering session. To accommodate those that cannot attend, we will post your images in a private gallery at kindletheheart.com 24 hours before your ordering session. On the day of your ordering session, Michelle will assist you in making the final decisions for images for your home and will take your order. We cannot place your order with our lab until it is paid IN FULL.
Your images will remain in your private online gallery at kindletheheart.com for one week to allow friends and extended family the opportunity to view the images and place their own orders. For legal reasons, we do NOT accept orders directly from extended family. You must bring these orders with you to your ordering session, or call / email us within 7 days of your ordering session with the order(s).
When will my portraits be ready?
Once you have placed and paid for your order, your portraits will be ready in approximately 3-4 weeks. Specialty items, such as gallery wrapped canvas can sometimes take up to 8 weeks. Orders placed October-December may take longer due to high volume.
