She was so good, we even did some “out of the box” images (I LOVE it when I get to do that!!!)

I bought some new baskets a few months ago. I wasn’t sure if I would ever be able to use this one or not. I knew it would take the ::perfect:: baby. She would have to be REALLY tiny to fit. Little Miss L fit like a glove!!! All whopping 5 1/2 pounds of her!!

It amazes me how flexible newborns are in those first few days of life.  By about 8-10 days old, I generally can not pose newborns like this image. They’ve figured out they can stretch out and they get MAD when I try to convince them that they need to curl up like they were in the womb. LOL!    

A question that I am often asked by new parents is, “Doesn’t it get on your nerves when they <cry, pee on you, are wide awake, take f.o.r.e.v.e.r., fill in the blank>?”  I think I’ve told every single newborn parent I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with that newborns are the most relaxing part of my job.  I never feel rushed, and I’m always relaxed afterward.  That “Christmas morning” feeling never goes away.  I am always so excited to get to the session and I savor every moment I spend photographing each new life.  And although most of the images I share are usually of peaceful, sleeping babies, they do cry.  After all, that’s what babies do…

But the crying is almost always followed by smiles.  Why is it that those first smiles are so special??  (and HARD to catch LOL!)  There is just ::something:: about a newborn’s smile…

And this little guy has the BEST big sister!  When I photograph newborns, I generally focus only on the newborn, but how could I not grab one shot of this pretty young lady?!?!  Miss J, I LOVE your freckles!!

It also allows you the freedom to share your images with your family and friends more affordably.  You can even view them on your screen saver or a digital frame!  Wall portraits purchased from the digital negatives in your package are available with deep discounts, allowing a generous number of custom art prints to be ordered.  And the very best thing about purchasing a digital collection?  You will receive a release that allows you to print your images anywhere you’d like up to 8×10 in size.
