She is laying on a quilt that was hand pieced and quilted by my grandmother (probably before I was born).  My daughter is doing her favorite thing… reading.

I also want to add an update on the Facebook fans contest.  We fought the good fight, but the race is finished. Whispers Photography (the Alabama studio) beat us to 500 fans.   :(   We made a good showing though! More than 25 new fans a day, EVERY day for a week!  I’m so happy, I’m going to give away a session anyway! I’ll post the winner soon!!!

This cutie pie, like my own daughter, was adopted from China. I just love all the CrazyChineseBabies!!! Her mommy brought her all the way from Huntsville, AL. What an honor!!!

She was really into the whole “tea party” theme LOL!

And since I need a few more images for my CPP submission I decided to photograph her in my “funky chair” in her cute little outfit.  I LOVE her precious little smile!!!

If you would like to be on the “call me at the last minute, because I want one of these sessions” list, please send an email to:

You must include your name, your child’s name and age, and most importantly a PHONE NUMBER  that I can reach you at on Monday or Tuesday morning in the email.  

I will check the field each morning, and if the flowers still look good, I will call to confirm the session for that afternoon.  A session fee of $125 will be due the day of the session.  I don’t want to take anyone’s money when I’m not sure the flowers are going to cooperate ;-)

And the best part is, the temperatures should be back into the mid 60′s by Monday!  YAY!!  No more chattering teeth!!!

Here are two sweet little fellas I had the pleasure of photographing this week.  We spent a grand total of five minutes photographing because at 45 degrees, these guys were COLD!!!  You’d never know it to look at the beautiful images though…

This will be the LAST session in the Buttercups this year.  I really want to fill this slot since the Buttercups will be gone very soon.  The first person to call the studio and pay a $125 session retainer gets the session!
