Bonjour, Ni Hao, Ciao, Hello!

Welcome to the chronicle of my life... one that I am so blessed to be allowed to share with the incredible people who invite me to photograph their lives. This blog is where the heart of the matter comes out - every part of the wonderful moments behind the lens and the way they steal my breath away. Photography has brought out my inner voice and my creativity.  The people who love me say they always knew was there, and most of them are charmingly smug in their self-congratulations at having known it before I did... and I love them for it! 

As I capture the stories of life with my camera, I will be adding to this narrative. Sometimes the narrative will be professional, other times it will be personal--giving you insight into my life and the ones I love.   And all this will be done while attempting to find time for God, chocolate, gardening, my children and the love of my life... in no particular order.

I spent Saturday afternoon with my first 2010 senior from Manchester. I can’t even begin to tell you how much fun we had!!!

Meet Miss B… (isn’t she stunning?!?!)

This is the first time this year I’ve pulled out my “hair fan”. This is easily the best blowing hair image I’ve ever made :)

I took this little guy’s newborn portraits and now he’s practically grown! I can’t believe he is sitting up already!!!

He liked sitting in my little basket…

But don’t EVEN ask him to sit on the floor. NO WAY! LOL! He did, however, enjoy sitting in a dishpan of warm water. After all, where there’s a will, there’s a way!!!

That is how I described her…perfection. I had the honor of photographing this little beauty today. She was an absolute dream! Her mama has some really awesome friends. They purchased the session for her as a baby shower gift! (I wish I had friends like that LOL!)

She was so good, we even did some “out of the box” images (I LOVE it when I get to do that!!!)

I bought some new baskets a few months ago. I wasn’t sure if I would ever be able to use this one or not. I knew it would take the ::perfect:: baby. She would have to be REALLY tiny to fit. Little Miss L fit like a glove!!! All whopping 5 1/2 pounds of her!!

Kimberly - You're right - perfection. I love her tininess in that basket but the wrap shot on black? Needs to be HUGE! That's an art piece, not just a portrait.
